Course Abstract & Learning Objectives

In a demanding healthcare workplace, being compassionate while also maintaining boundaries is essential for caregiver well-being and patient safety. This course delves into the importance of establishing emotional boundaries, particularly for healthcare workers who are consistently exposed to emotionally charged situations and the potential for burnout. By recognizing personal stress triggers and cultivating self-awareness, healthcare professionals can develop effective coping mechanisms and self-care strategies. The course emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries – not as barriers to care, but as safeguards for emotional and mental well-being. It equips participants with practical tools to manage their responses to stress and navigate the healthcare environment. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of controllable, uncontrollable, and influenceable factors in their workplace. Ultimately, this course empowers healthcare workers to create a sustainable practice that fosters optimal patient care while prioritizing their own well-being.
