This course is designed to help hearing care professionals understand the importance of health literacy in promoting better health outcomes and improving healthcare quality. Participants will learn how to assess their clients' health literacy levels and how to communicate effectively with clients with varying levels of health literacy. The course will also provide strategies for promoting health literacy in hearing healthcare settings, including the use of plain language, visual aids, and client education materials. Analyze the current situation of health literacy in various countries and evaluate the negative impact of low health literacy on healthcare utilization and costs.
